The McMorran Complex is owned by the City of Port Huron and operated under the direction of the City Council-appointed Henry McMorran Auditorium Authority, which was established in 1956, four years before the Auditorium opened. Located in the hub of Port Huron's downtown, with ample parking, McMorran Place annually hosts hundreds of successful conventions, trade shows, concerts, banquets, ice shows, corporate meetings and seminars, as well as hockey for all ages.

The three building complex consists of the Arena, the Pavilion, and the Theatre. The McMorran Complex offers up to 48,000 square foot of unobstructed exhibition space.

McMorran Place is the home of the Port Huron Icehawks, the Port Huron Minor Hockey Assoc., Port Huron Civic Theatre, International Symphony Orchestra, Port Huron Town Hall, and the Nutcracker Ballet Theatre Company.

Location

The Port Huron Area is home to many shops, restaurants, and professional services. Just to the north of the city is the Birchwood Mall. The Mall features JCPenny, Sears, Target, Younkers, Macy's, and a list of specialty stores. The mall also features a 10 screen movie theatre and a 450 seat food court where you will find a world of tempting treats. Near the mall, stores such as Staples, Wal-Mart, Toys R Us, Meijer, Home Depot, and Lowe's welcome your business.

Port Huron also feature fishing charters, boat excursions on the St. Clair River, a sightseeing trolley, Museums, golf courses, many parks, and McMorran's own 188 stair observation tower looking over all of Port Huron and the both spans of the Blue Water Bridge. The St. Clair river (just blocks from McMorran Place) is a boat watcher's and fisherman's dream come true. This waterway is the busiest in-land path for commercial freighters and bulk carriers in the world.
